Onboarding

As part of my work for the app onboarding flow I designed the screens themselves, the phone shell, and assisted with the creation of the blurbs.

Home page

This flow included the initial sign in screens, as well password recovery and soft sign in screens.

Flight status details

When United Airlines partnered with the Star Wars Franchise, I was ecstatic to design the Flight Status Details Easter egg screens. The user would tap on the plane on the "light side" screen and would be shown the "dark side" mode.

Baggage and pet details/tracking

For the baggage/pet tracking flow, I revamped the screens from current-state along with some of the components put together by a third-party company to kick-off the redesign. I also made additional components as the project evolved.

Mobile Passport Control (MPC) / Customs and Border Patrol (CBP)

This flow was an integration of the CLEAR app which lets users skip the customs line via their mobile app. This feature was specifically for United States and Canadian passport holders coming into the United States. It is accessed via a trip tip button that appears on the home screen if a user is eligible to use it.

The screen on the left is something I really pushed to be included. Before its design, the user would be dumped directly into the CLEAR flow without any explanation of what it was or why they had to provide all of this information, let alone what Mobile Passport Control was. This screen laid out all of that information, as well as what they were agreeing to and where they could access more information about MPC/CBP.

The screen to the right is the Review your information screen. I chose to show this screen because it was the most content-heavy and greatly depended on visual hierarchy to break down the information.

I think the most challenging part of this flow was needing to abide by the limitations set forth by CLEAR and CBP while still remaining accessible.

Other airline (connection)

I was working on a project to show when a flight on your itinerary flight is via another airline. I needed to come up with a way to let the user know the screen needed to be refreshed to get updated data. I came up with three main solutions: adding an info icon, putting the message near the information, or a ribbon at the top telling users to pull to refresh.

These screens were part of the same flow as the three above and had the similar issue of the information not automatically updating itself. I came up with a couple different options: the screen on the left borrowed from the screen design originally completed by Huge but I added a little more hierarchy to the way the content was laid out. The screen on the right utilized the message component and allowed for the most information to be presented at one time while allowing users to opt out of seeing the message once they understood.

easyJet and flightradar24

I worked on a few projects for the Check-in team, one of which was coming up with a design of the Flight Status Details screen that integrated flightradar24, based on the easyJet application.

United Club℠ and Lounges

I worked with a couple different teams to create a more visually cohesive club and lounge experience. Part of this was working with the UX copywriter to remain consistent with the language concise.
